How it works
Each session uses its own IANA time zone. The clock converts the current instant to local civil time before checking the weekday and indicative hours.
A worked example
London uses Europe/London; New York uses America/New_York. The US and UK change their clocks on different dates, so the overlap changes during the transition weeks.
